2017 has seen us acquire many fruits for our labour, one of them being at the 2017 New Zealand Ice Cream Awards. The Crème de la Crème of two categories, plus multiple golds and silvers. When it comes to flavour, it’s all about keeping it simple and we didn’t have to venture far with the key ingredient grown in our very own orchard. It was our Velluto Blueberry Yoghurt Gelato that stole the judges taste-buds, taking out the Best in Category and Gold for the Gelato category, arguably becoming the best Gelato of the land.

HERE AT KōWHAI CREAMERY WE ARE DEVOTED TO BRINGING YOU ICE CREAM THE WAY IT WAS ORIGINALLY CREATED. WE HAND-CRAFT OUR Multi-AWARD-WINNING PRODUCT USING ONLY THE BEST FULL CREAM MILK FRESH FROM LOCAL JERSEY COWS FED ON LUSH WAIKATO PASTURES. WE THEN COMBINE IT WITH EXPORT QUALITY BERRY FRUIT GROWN IN OUR VERY OWN ORCHARD ALONG WITH OTHER LOCAL PRODUCE.
We source our milk fresh from The Home Farm, a family farm established in 1923, which practises ethical, eco-friendly, biological & sustainable farming methods.
